Appraisal Notes:
Yellow ochre-colored rim is very unusual and the incised decoration showing white tin enamel underneath is exceptional in Dutch polychromeware. Four reserves in between. Exotic bird on flowering branch with fence, flowers and rock are borrowed from the Chinese. Hugo Brouwer was manager (1760) and co-owner (1767-1777) of De Dreye Porceleyne Flesschen (The Three Porcelain Bottles) Manufactory. Rare.
